Event Description

We are a group of solitaires who get together once a month to celebrate the Wheel of the Year on the last Saturday of each month at 7PM. This meetup is OPEN TO ALL :)

I look forward to seeing you all again!!! Bring your Black Hat, a dish to share and a smile!!!

Please bring a white candle to celebrate Imbolc/Candlemas with us! Imbolc really is the beginning of Spring, despite the fact that there may still be snow in some places and dreary skies almost everywhere you can think of!

Imbolc is sacred to Brigid because she is a Goddess of Fire, of Poetry, and of Healing, and all things that go along with the creative powers of the onset of Spring. Candlemas or St. Brigit's (or Brigid) Day is one of the four Celtic fire festivals which fall on the cross-quarter days, six weeks between the solstices and equinoxes. This day is also known as Imbolc. Candlemas is a time when the light of rebirth grows stronger. Brigit is the Triple Goddess of the Flame.

These fires were tended by the Daughters of the Flame, nine sacred Virgins who could be looked at by no man. Brigit's, fires are the fires of purification and healing. It is a time to purify yourself as we continue to emerge from the dark of winter. Hail Goddess Brigid, we honor you !!!

See you then!

The Order of the Black Hat is an international eclectic order of witches celebrating the wheel of the year. All members are eligible to participate in face to face meetings. Female members will be able to join us in week-end gatherings and retreats.

We take our spiritual path very seriously, yet strive not to take our egos too seriously. We consider that each of us has a responsibility to grow in the wisdom, love and power of the God/dess, and continually learn, heal, and become stronger. We also have a responsibility to share our skills and insights with others, and to serve within our community and beyond it.

Your path does not matter....if you are a witch and you've been known to wear a "black hat" you are welcome to join us!

Use of workshop space agreement at Sticks and Stones:

1. Feel free to arrange and decorate the space before your event, and make sure before you go to leave it as you found it.

2. Hot water and tea are provided by the store and you are welcome to help yourselves. We accept donations in the form of money, tea, paper products (tissues, paper towels, toilet paper) dish soap, etc, to help pay for this free service.
