Sticks and Stones

Gifts for Spirit, Mind, Body

You members of the Sticks and Stones community really rock.  I had a blast meeting a dozen or so of you in person Saturday!  Thanks for coming out and playing and learning about your hands.

One of the best questions of the day was this, "What happens in a hand reading?"

Here's the answer:

After you've made and confirmed your appointment (with the awesome folks at the Sticks and Stones shop, please) we'll meet at the store.

I'll bring a flashlight and magnifying glass. The flashlight is to ensure I have the best view of all the goodness in your hands and the magnifying glass is to pin point what's going on in your hands.

You bring your notebook and your hands.  The notebook is for taking notes.  The hands - are self-explanatory.

At the beginning of your scheduled time I'll ask you what, exactly, you're hoping to get out of your reading.  This way you and I are on the same page.  If you simply say, "whatever you see" that's cool too.  However, you should know that I could spend your entire appointment talking about what I see related to work or family or whatever most jumps out to me on your hand.  If you want to talk about your love life - say so.  Then we'll take a look at what's going on with your relationships.

Your hands have so much information in them that I could do a dissertation on you.  That dissertation would take several months of course.

This reading is co-created -- I'm not the all-knowing being about you and your wants.  You know your own truth better than anyone.  It's best to come to a reading with a specific question or challenge in mind.  This way we can look to your hands (your inner being) for clarity around what's coming up for you.

If you leave it up to me, I call on the insight of my guides and yours to point me to what you most need to know at a given moment.  Remember, of course, that what we most need to hear is very rarely what we most want to hear!  There's nothing wrong with that, but it breaks my heart a little if you feel like you didn't get what you really wanted out of a reading, because you didn't ask.

So, you'll tell me what you're having a reading for and I'll ask you to show me both of your hands.  I'll look to the points in the palm that are most related to what's on your mind.  I'll review both of your hands to unlock clues on what's keeping you from feeling satisfied at work (or play) and I'll touch your hands to get a sense of what's happening there.

I'll ask you whether you're right handed or left handed (or both) and I'll do my best to not only spout information at you, but to show you which areas of your hands represent what I'm talking about.  I consider each reading an opportunity to enlighten people with the facts about hand analysis.  Of course, time is of the essence, the shorter the reading, the less time I'm going to spend doing back story on where the markers are in your hands.  That can take a little longer than simply gleaning the facts of what's what in your hand.

Finally, I'll wrap up by asking you if you've got any further questions - this is your time to say "Hey, what about my love life?!" if you were secretly harboring the wish that I'd talk about that.

The readings are pretty interactive -- after all, your hands are the stars of the show, and therefore you, are the reason we are there together.  You can always stop and ask questions if you need to/want to.

It's likely that I'll share some suggestions on getting out of your own way - my passion is helping people take control of their lives so that they can change the world - I'm direct when I do this work.  However, the one thing that won't happen is that I'll predict your future.  If you want to know whether to Date person A with the dreamy blue eyes or person B with the smoldering lips, we'll talk about the pros and cons, the ways you show up in relationships and the keys for your non-negotiables in love.  But you have to pick. It's your life and the choice is always yours.

If that sounds like something you'd find appealing, I'd love to meet you at the shop!
