Event Description

Many of us have been involved in the various live passages for ourselves and others (Wiccanings, Womanhood, Manhood, Handfastings) but most of us have had little exposure to or are little prepared for our final life passage when we leave this world.
As the seasons move toward the dark time of the year, it is an appropriate time to discuss how we prepare for the final life passage.
Our discussion will be in a few phases.  First, we will discuss those necessary documents we should all have on file to ensure our wishes are carried through by our loved ones.  Information will also be provided on where to obtain the necessary documents and where they should be kept.  Next, we’ll cover options for the disposition of your remains – do you want to be buried, cremated, composted or something else?  We will also discuss the options opening up in the “Green Burial” movement.
Additional note:  If anybody has any documents that require notarization, David is a Notary Public for the Commonwealth of Virginia and will be available to notarize documents.
Bio:  David is a Circle Sanctuary Minister whose ministry focus has been on both end of life support and Military support.  He has also led this discussion at other venues in Virginia to help ensure people know their options with respect to end of life planning.
Fee: $15
