Join us and be welcome as we get together and drum, shake rattle and roll once a month!

There is a place for beginners and experienced drummers in our circle. We will attempt to bring you a magical and fun evening as we drum in harmony with Mother Earth’s heartbeat. We will drum, chant, trance and even dance if we want to!

Mike: Trained in classical snare and set drumming as a young child, Mike picked up a hand drum for the first time 20 years ago at a large pagan gathering only to find that there was very little assistance to joining in with others playing at the drum circle. He could translate his training, adapt the rhythms he knew and watch and learn quickly. He had "sat in" with bands or improv groups in the non-magickal world before. But he couldn't help wondering: How would it be for someone who had never touched a drum before? Probably pretty intimidating… Since then, Mike has had the great fortune to find kindred spirits in the Alchemical and FireTribe communities who celebrate and appreciate the joy of collaborative drumming - actively welcoming newcomers and experienced folks alike to add to the music and the magic. And not just drumming, but chanting, and playing of other sacred sounds not always heard at a "drum circle". Mike delights in hearing the sound not played, but created from the unexpected harmonies of people playing together. The sound needed to create that unplayed harmony may just be the one that you make. Bring it to the circle, and be the cause of delight!  Mike is a priest and cofounder of multiple pagan traditions. He presents, facilitates and writes for local pagan events, circles, drum circles and workshops/playshops, large and small. In the mundane world he spins fire and keeps bees when not providing web support for the House of Representatives.

Whittney: A modern mystic cleverly disguised as a massage therapist. A modern alchemist practicing the ancient arts of Hermes Trismegistus. A magikal fool traveling a path with Spirit. His goal being to support the people he meets in discovering the healing of self transformation through spiritual exploration. It's not how your explore Spirit, it's that you explore Spirit that counts.  In a practice that has taken up more than half his life, Whittney experiments with various mixtures of healing arts, spiritual exploration, mystiscism, meditation, music, trance, yoga and touch in the search for an elixir of enlightenment.  He has learned many arts at the side of many gurus. Over and over again he sets out as a seeker, coming to mastery and returning to seeker again. Walking the circle over and over again to see the path from different angles and through different eyes. Now, he teaches from his experiences and insights into the many ways in which Spirit manifests Itself within and around us in every aspect of life.  Whittney is a regular presenter and facilitator for local events such as Free Spirit Gathering and FSG Beltane.
