Dawn of the Thread:
Nicole and Lora are geeky craft-wives who embroider towels, messenger sachels, tarot bags, crystal pouches, and more. They sell their super-cool stuff at comic book conventions, on etsy, and here at Sticks and Stones. Loralei made the plush Goddesses and Velvet Voodoo babies just for us.

Lina is literally a "rocket scientist" who has been studying many forms of paganism. She has a natural talent of making many spiritual tools. We are blessed to have her creations in our store. She makes Mala and Prayer Beads, astrological incense/herbal blends, ritual cords, jewelry, wands, as well as many other things.... each includes detailed information about the item, as well as instructions on ways you can use it. We are always thrilled when she visits with a bag full of more of her magic.

Kiln formed glass is created by taking sheets of glass or crushed glass and combining them together in the kiln, which is fired up to 1700 degrees. Most pieces are fired 2-3 times for 12-36 hours in the kiln. Pieces such as some of the jewelry are then cut out with a diamond saw blade and then further shaped by a wet belt sander and then back in the kiln again for a fire polish to make it smooth and shiny. Luminescent Tea Light Holders are made from a single layer of 3mm glass and fired twice. The double holder
s are Faery Waves and Faery Trees. The Rose Petal Dish and Shell Dish are made with both sheet glass and crushed glass and take advantage of the chemical reactions between the glasses that contain different elements such as Copper and Sulfur. The Bear Fetishes, Tear Drops, Diamonds, and Hearts are created in a mold in a single firing and have bails that are plated in real Silver. Each one is unique with the exception of the single color ones. The Sushi Sets and small dishes are made from 2 layers of glass and are fired twice. The 6.5” ruffle bowls are made of two layers of glass and fired twice. Items featured in Sticks and Stones will not be sold on her website. Please care for your handcrafted glass by hand-washing. All dishes are food safe unless otherwise labeled.
I believe that the world on which we live is a magical place. There are forces at work constantly creating beauty and wonder. It is up to us as individuals to open our eyes, minds, and hearts to them, so that they may lead us the beauty that is all around us.
Many are so entrenched in their daily mundane routines, that they never stop to look at the stand of trees at the end of their street. Were they to do so, they might see the branches and limbs that have been bent by the wind, and broken by a storm, that when viewed from the right angle form the shape of a horse galloping.
I’ve been allowed to see some of these wonders, and to bring certain pieces out for the rest of the world to see. I also know that each item is calling to the person who is meant to have them. I also know that each piece has a story to tell, and that when it finds who it was meant for, they will hear it.
Wyrd Armouries: https:/wyrdarmouries.com
We are honored to display these hand made athames by Nathaniel Wilson of Wyrd Armouries.
Wyrd Armouries came about in 2015 as the joint name for collaborative works between Wyrd and Wired and MalHaunch Armouries. We started working shows together in early 2014, but had each had been out there being creative for years before that. Between the two of us, we have over 25 years of various experience making and selling unique handcrafted goods. If you can dream it, chances are one of us can make it!
Cynthia Abernathy is also a costumer and leather worker, and also makes jewelry made from old books and game pieces. Nathaniel Wilson is a blacksmith, as well as creator of prop weapons and other oddities.
With enough random skills for a medieval village, together we create unique work to adorn and amuse. You can find us at media conventions, renaissance faires, pagan festivals and craft shows along the east coast.
We have been called many names!
Metaphysical, New Age, Gift Shop, Hippie, Earthy, Tree-Hugger, Spiritual, Goddess,
Celtic, Pagan, Witch, Wicca, Wise Women, just to name a few...
Native Americans, Jews, Christians, Buddhists, Pagans, Hinduists, and Celts... all use affirmations, prayers, rituals and magic in their daily pratices. Imagine a connection (similar to a web) through invisible threads, all of which are connected with each other. Any wind, or any vibration on that web, will make waves that will influence the whole. This is how the Spirit works, and this is the magical tradition behind all religions. The Spirit is very powerful.
Sticks and Stones respects every person's own spiritual path and invites you to share and learn with us.
...No matter what you call us, if you intend no harm you are welcome in our circle.
