Sticks and Stones

Gifts for Spirit, Mind, Body

Our herbs are grown locally in Virginia and driven straight from the farm to our store.

Nestled in the Virginia countryside, Mamma Bubbles tends a small farm.

'The Mother has blessed us with a wild abundance of native herbs and we have added a few of our own choices to the many gardens. Working in harmony and with respect for nature and our environment we gently gather the gifts, dry them and bring them to share with you.  We hope you enjoy the pleasure of the plants as much as we do.'

We offer a large variety of herbs, costing from $3.50 per oz for most herbs.

Join our Herb of the Month Club:

Each month we will delve deep into a chosen herb, exploring the wise woman use, magick use, crafty/cooking/other uses, taste, touch, feel, smell, and essence of the little beastie. Each class will have printed information on the herb as well as something to take home.

If you are interested in HooDoo, this is an excellent place to start!

You are invited to join our free online herbal group:
Herb of the Month for discussions, further questions, follow-up, etc. We will meet on the Second Friday of every month at Sticks and Stones. You may attend all months or pick and choose your favorites.

Cost options:

$15 per class

$36 for three classes: choose any three of your favorite herbs ($12 per class)

$60 for six classes: choose any six of your favorite herbs ($10 per class)

your choices do not have to be consecutive.

our own Suthern Style Salt and Herbal Blends:

To pre-pare the bath, empty this packet into a pot of boiling water and let it steep for 13 minutes. Strain out the herbs and add the liquid to your bath. While bathing, immerse your head 13 times, and each time you do so, recite the 37th Psalm of David (“Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb...”). For greatest effect, repeat the bath ritual every day for 13 days. You may also use 13 HERB BATH to wash down the Home and Clear Away Evil.

Smudge Sticks medium (approx 6') large (approx 8")

The White Sage Smudge is the most common incense burning plant used by Native Americans. White Sage (Salvia Apiana) is traditionally used as a space clearing plant, to remove negative energy indoors and out. It supports healing rituals, sweat lodge ceremonies and festivals. Its fresh herbal fragrance rejuvenates the mind and enhances mental clarity and memory.

We also offer a variety of essential oils and fragrance oils in our shop, including our own Suthern Style blends, plus some scents from Triloka and Wild Berry.

Sun's Eye Oils

Sun's Eye Oils are made from aromatic herbs, blossoms, leaves, spices, woods, resins and essentials. They frequently add dried herbs to their mother batches so that the oils maintain vibrational integrity. When a carrier base is required, they use soybean. They do not use animal products or animal testing.

We have been called many names!

Metaphysical, New Age, Gift Shop, Hippie, Earthy, Tree-Hugger, Spiritual, Goddess,
Celtic, Pagan, Witch, Wicca, Wise Women, just to name a few...
Native Americans, Jews, Christians, Buddhists, Pagans, Hinduists, and  Celts... all use affirmations, prayers, rituals and magic in their daily pratices. Imagine a connection (similar to a web) through invisible threads, all of which are connected with each other. Any wind, or any vibration on that web, will make waves that will influence the whole. This is how the Spirit works, and this is the magical tradition behind all religions. The Spirit is very powerful.

...No matter what you call us, you are welcome in our circle.
