FAIRFAX HAS GOT TALENT!

We showcase some of the amazing talent that exists in our community. You will find some of the creations for sale from the artists mentioned below in our store.

Dawn of the Thread:

Nicole and Lora are geeky craft-wives who embroider towels, messenger sachels, tarot bags, crystal pouches, and more. They sell their super-cool stuff at comic book conventions, on etsy, and here at Sticks and Stones. Loralei made the plush Goddesses and Velvet Voodoo babies just for us.

Matthew Sullivan, Remnants of Magic: http://www.remnantsofmagic.com

Matthew Sullivan's gifted artistry and writings has led him on a journey of self discovery. His intuitive powers invoked him to be a gatherer of unique stones, which he is compelled to share with the world. He has been guided to bring forth his collection of unique wire wrapped jewelry, Crystal wands, Energy Sprays, healing pictures and other creations.

Matthew has the ability to connect with the uniqueness of each stone and the beauty all around him, creating stunning works of art, which stir the mind and heal the soul. Infusing each of his creations with love and positive energy so as to help others face their daily struggles with renewed faith.

You will find some of his pieces for sale in the store every day, and once a month on a Saturday he sets up a trunk show here, bringing his latest one-of-a-kind beautiful creations for you! Check the calendar for dates.

Vic's Sticks:

I believe that the world on which we live is a magical place. There are forces at work constantly creating beauty and wonder. It is up to us as individuals to open our eyes, minds, and hearts to them, so that they may lead us the beauty that is all around us.

Many are so entrenched in their daily mundane routines, that they never stop to look at the stand of trees at the end of their street. Were they to do so, they might see the branches and limbs that have been bent by the wind, and broken by a storm, that when viewed from the right angle form the shape of a horse galloping.

I’ve been allowed to see some of these wonders, and to bring certain pieces out for the rest of the world to see. I also know that each item is calling to the person who is meant to have them. I also know that each piece has a story to tell, and that when it finds who it was meant for, they will hear it.

Wyrd Armouries: https:/wyrdarmouries.com

We are honored to display these hand made athames by Nathaniel Wilson of Wyrd Armouries.

Wyrd Armouries came about in 2015 as the joint name for collaborative works between Wyrd and Wired and MalHaunch Armouries. We started working shows together in early 2014, but had each had been out there being creative for years before that. Between the two of us, we have over 25 years of various experience making and selling unique handcrafted goods. If you can dream it, chances are one of us can make it!

Cynthia Abernathy is also a costumer and leather worker, and also makes jewelry made from old books and game pieces. Nathaniel Wilson is a blacksmith, as well as creator of prop weapons and other oddities.

With enough random skills for a medieval village, together we create unique work to adorn and amuse. You can find us at media conventions, renaissance faires, pagan festivals and craft shows along the east coast.

We have been called many names!
Metaphysical, New Age, Gift Shop, Hippie, Earthy, Tree-Hugger, Spiritual, Goddess,
Celtic, Pagan, Witch, Wicca, Wise Women, just to name a few...
Native Americans, Jews, Christians, Buddhists, Pagans, Hinduists, and  Celts... all use affirmations, prayers, rituals and magic in their daily practices. Imagine a connection (similar to a web) through invisible threads, all of which are connected with each other. Any wind, or any vibration on that web, will make waves that will influence the whole. This is how the Spirit works, and this is the magical tradition behind all religions. The Spirit is very powerful.

Sticks and Stones respects every person's own spiritual path and invites you to share and learn with us.

...No matter what you call us, if you intend no harm you are welcome in our circle.
